In order to maintain a positive and inclusive environment, please follow these rules:
Rule #1: Do your best to stay in Salish language as much as possible
Our goal is to immerse ourselves in Salish language both in person and online. Our salish languages are beautiful and take lots of practice to master. This community is here to support your success so use the Sx̌ʷy̓ʔiɬp social media often and share your life in Salsih. One word with a picture, a full introduction for practice, no matter the dialect no matter the level we want to see it, feel it and experience what you have to offer to our community. Please join us.

- N̓səl̓xcin̓ 1 course (at your pace): ILCA does an annual Introduction to Nsəlxcin (N1 Class). During these classes students are introduced to over 300 words and 100 small phrases. N1 Classes are conducted on-line with one of our experienced Nsəlxcin instructors. Now, you have access to this salish school of spokane course taught by ncáʔliwm nqəlʷcniłxʷ instructor x̌ʷnámx̌ʷwnam.
- Teacher Trainings: ILCA offers 3 year Nsəlxcin teacher trainings. These 3 year trainings not only create highly proficient new Nsəlxcin speakers but provide our learners with the tools and understanding of Second Language Acquisition to become effective and highly qualified Nsəlxcin instructors themselves.
- iʔ kcaptikʷltn: Join us as we come together each winter to honor our sacred heritage. Experience the wisdom of our elders as they weave together the timeless tales that have guided our ancestors and continue to shape our lives today. Across the vast lands of the Interior Salish-speaking territory, tribes unite, fostering connections and building bridges that transcend time.
